Terms of Use

The rules the marketplace runs on. They are written to be understood — the app repeats the ones that matter at the moment they matter.

1. What Charmity is

Charmity is a marketplace where people in Dubai buy and sell pre-loved fashion from one another. The sale contract for an item is between its buyer and its seller; Charmity provides the venue — listings, protected payment, arranged collection and delivery, and a dispute process — and is not the owner or seller of the items.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter contracts. One account per person, under true details. Sign-in works by one-time codes sent to your phone number or email address, so keep them current and reachable — whoever holds them holds the account, and activity on your account is yours.

3. Listings

You may only list what you own and may transfer. Photographs must show the actual item; the condition grade must be honest, including flaws. Every listing is reviewed before it is published, and we may decline or remove a listing that does not meet these terms.

4. What may not be sold

5. Buying

Completing checkout is a binding offer to buy at the shown price, including any fees and delivery, all of which are stated before you commit. Your payment is held by our payment partner while the order runs its course; the seller is paid only after the piece reaches you. After delivery you have a short inspection window, stated on the order: accept the piece, or do nothing and the order completes on its own — or report a problem, and the payment stays held while the dispute is decided.

6. Selling

When your item sells, confirm its availability within the time stated on the order; if you do not, the order cancels and the buyer is refunded. Book the collection, have the parcel ready for the courier, and send exactly the item and condition you listed. Payouts are made through our payment partner once the buyer's inspection window has passed; identity verification may be required before the first payout, and amounts may be held while a dispute is open or where the law requires.

7. Disputes

Within the inspection window, a buyer may open a dispute on defined grounds: the item is materially not as described, damaged beyond what was disclosed, the wrong item, not received, or suspected counterfeit. Evidence can be attached; both sides are heard; Charmity decides the outcome — return, refund, partial refund or release — and there is a path to appeal a decision that admits one. A confirmed counterfeit always unwinds the sale in full.

8. Conduct

Messages on Charmity exist to complete sales safely. Do not use them to move a deal off the platform and around its protections — contact details shared in messages may be masked for exactly this reason — and do not use them to harass anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with any lawful balance still paid out.

9. Authentication

Where an item is examined by an independent authenticator, the result reflects that specialist's professional judgement of the item presented. It meaningfully reduces risk; like any expert opinion, it is not an insurance policy. A buyer's dispute rights are never reduced by an item having been screened.

10. Liability

Items are sold by their sellers, and Charmity does not guarantee that a listing will sell or that a purchase will suit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded; beyond that, our liability for an order is limited to the amounts paid on that order.

11. Closing your account

You may close your account at any time from the app once open orders have finished. Closing an account and erasing personal data are separate steps — erasure is covered in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change applies, and continuing to use Charmity after that is acceptance. The date below always says when they last moved.

13. Law and forum

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as they apply in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes about them belong to the courts of Dubai.
